Grateful...
Hi everyone, I felt compelled to blog about my thoughts. I stayed home from work today because I am fighting a nasty cold. Last night I lost some ground with it and thought it best to take a day of rest. I have been napping on my comfy couch under a warm blanket off and on, and when I am not, I have been reading a book that a friend of mine has lent me. It is a story of a family living in Paris during world war 2. It is a fascinating book and depicts the life they have been forced to lead. I know that I am blessed with a wonderful family, great friends and a healthy (for the most part) life. But reading this book has made me acutely aware of just how much I have to be grateful for. I have medicine, food, soup, warmth, comfort and security. All that plus so much support surrounding me, right at my fingertips. That was not possible for the people caught in the war.
I guess my point is we should take time to be grateful for all the good in our lives, even when we are feeling weak. I thank all the people who have suffered and endured so we can be free.
With gratitude and love, til next time
Lynn :)
